Editing Photos

These are the main to images that are displayed on my preliminary task magazine. For the highdown logo original photo I used more than one filter to create a very unique look to the photo.

In contrast I decided to just used on filter on the photo where the model is standing in front of the water as i felt it might be too over powering if i had used more.

Questionnaire Analysis

I gave out around 20 questionnaires to random members of the public, I tried to evenly distribute it between males and females therefore my feedback will be fair and reliable.

The second question was ‘How often do you read magazines’, this was very important, as if people never read a magazine the rest of their answers wouldn’t be valid. Luckily every person answered stating that they have read a magazine before.

I followed asking ‘how much would you usually spend on a magazine?’, I asked this so that when I come to pricing my magazine I can find out what would be acceptable and what my target market would usually pay for a high quality magazine.

This graph shows the statistics of how people answered, as you can see most people answered that they usually spend £2-£3 pounds on a magazine. After that came £1-£2. Therefore I should aim to price my magazine between two and three pounds.

I followed by asking what the respondents favourite part of a magazine is. There were 5 possible answers including; Fashion tips, Real Life Stories, Front Cover, Interviews and Other (this allowing the person being questioned to really expand on what they were wanting to say). Over all the majority of votes went to the “front Cover’ box. This seems to be the most important factor of the magazine as this will instantly catch the readers attention. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the rest of the magazine isn’t important however the front cover shows what is going to be included in the magazine.

‘If you could what would you improve about a magazine’, I felt this was a very important question as I can learn greatly from the feedback also giving me an advantage from the existing magazines. Most people’s responses were very much alike most saying that they
